Dear Sir,

As you may be aware, there have been attempts over the years to develop a cycling and walking track between Horringer and Bury St Edmunds. Recently, I (we) have learned of a new campaign launched for such a facility by Horringer Cycling and Walking Initiative.

I (we) welcome and support their agenda sharing their vision, that such a provision would be of great benefits for residents of Horringer. As outlined in their leaflet, such a track offers an important alternative to transport mode choices of Horringer residents, especially children, who could cycle or walk to their school, nearest post office, and shops, safely and independently. This would also be of benefit to the many people who cycle, jog, or walk into Horringer from Bury. Presently there is not any other way to travel between Horringer and Bury except by car or bus. In my (our) belief, this has to change.

Therefore I (we) ask for your support. Please, help us in your capacity as (Councillor) (Member of Parliament) (Highways Manager) for our area to develop this cycling and walking track.

Yours sincerely
